Example of a Combat Rite

This rite is a single rite which has been granted to you. As your character's PY attribute grows, the rite gradually becomes more powerful.

PY 1:
Combat Blessing: Once per day, you may spend 12 fST, and make a 2vsIQ roll, and pray for 3 hours with at least two other members of the laity. Then for the next 4 hours, you gain +5 speed when you are fighting. The fST is spent at the start of the 3 hour period (and you will have recovered it by the time the praying is finished). If you blow the 2vsIQ roll, you lose 4 fST and can not attempt the rite again that day.

PY 3:
Combat Blessing: Once per day, you may spend 8 fST, and make a 2vsIQ roll, and pray for 2 hours with at least one other member of the laity. Then for the next 6 hours, you gain +6 speed when you are fighting. The fST is spent at the start of the 2 hour period (and you will have recovered it by the time the praying is finished). If you blow the 2vsIQ roll, you lose 1 fST but you may attempt the rite again that day after the full 2 hours is spent praying with the other member of the laity.

PY 6:
Combat Blessing: You may spend 8 fST, and pray for 2 hours with at least one other member of the laity. Then for the next 8 hours, you gain +6 speed and +2 MA for all purposes. The fST is spent at the start of the 2 hour period (and you will have recovered it by the time the praying is finished). This rite may be done whenever you wish.

PY 9:
Combat Blessing: You may spend 6 fST. Then for the next 8 hours, you gain +6 speed, +2 MA, and stop one point of damage with your skin, for all purposes. You may not perform this rite again until you pray for 1 hour with at least 3 other members of the laity.

PY 12:
Combat Blessing: You may spend 6 fST. Then for the next 8 hours, you gain +6 speed, +2 MA, stop one point of damage with your skin, for all purposes. In addition you and up to 4 other people you touch and say the words, "The Blessing of Earwinashwail upon you", will do +2 damage in combat for the next hour. You may not perform this rite again until you pray for 1 hour with at least 3 other members of the laity, which should include those so blessed.
